Flashed a kernel with OC/UV capability

[Kernel] Tigers Blood v2 Voodoo Lagfix, Sound, Color, BLN, OC/UV
Just flashed this kernel. Will test it out for few days. Already OC'ed it to 1200MHz(1.2 GHz).

Reading lot of things about OC, UV, BLN and uses of modified kernel. There must be some use, if not the devs would not have ventured in developing a kernel with these features.

3/17/11: Dont see great difference in the performace. Sometimes there are sound pops(must be a know bug).

Different backups available for rooted Vibrant (may apply to any Android phone)

1. Nandroid Backup:
The easiest and most reliable way to fully and 100% back up and restore your Android phone.
By fully back up, I don’t mean backing up just your address book or your emails, or your dog. I mean EVERYTHING that resides on your phone with the exception of the SD card – what it will create is essentially a full image of your phone’s current state that you can restore to at any time as if nothing happened. This image will be written to your SD card which you are then free to copy around and back up on your computer.
In fact, the nandroid backup is very similar to imaging your computer hard drive before you swap drives – the principle is the same.

•When you restore from a full image backup, you have to restore all or nothing. In other words, you will
not be able to get back *just* the photos.

How to take this backup: Go into ClockworkMod Recovery. Select the option "backup and restore" and then choose "Backup".  I am running StockKernel+Voodoo and I have redbend CWR recovery.

2. Neldar's SGS Kernel Flasher
It lets you take backups of the current kernel.

3. Titanium Backup

What can Titanium Backup back up ?
•All the applications you have installed, including protected ones,
•All the data and settings of these applications,
•Most (nearly all) of your phone's settings and data.
•NOTE: It will not backup the system applications from your ROM. Only their settings and data will be
backed up.

Backups are very important for your rooted phone. I take all three types of backups(I sleep better knowing I can restore my phone if I break it). I do it on a weekly basis or just before I flash a major update.

Covered Calls & Roth IRA

I plan to play with more covered calls using options expiring in two to six months. If executed correctly by picking a safe stock, I should be able to manage to get 4 to 10% on invested money after commissions.

Right now I am doing these covered calls in regular brokerage account. But doing this in regular stock account will make me pay high capital gains(< 1 year holding).
I need to avoid these capital gains. How? Do these covered calls in my regular IRA.
But if I do this in IRA account, I will be paying taxes when its time to withdraw. which is not good too :)
Right now money in this IRA is not much(<12,000). So I made the decision to convert this IRA account to Roth IRA.
I should have done this last year to split taxes into two years but my regular IRA is not much, so nothing is lost I think ;)

1. If I contribute $5,000 to my Roth IRA this year, am I able to write it off on my income-tax return?
Answer is no.
2. What about commisions I pay to buy/sell stocks in Roth IRA. Can I deduct in taxes.
No. Commissions generated by trades inside a tax-qualified account such as Traditional or Roth IRAs don’t matter. Since you are not tracking capital gains or losses within these accounts there is no deduction for these fees from a tax perspective.
3. Advantages of Roth.
